Firepit Troubleshooting


Below are some potential causes and countermeasures to the symptoms indicated in bold. Please contact your retailer or certified technician for service & repair.

Will Not Light or stay lit

  1. Air in gas line.
    If new install, may take several attempts to purge air.

  2. Debris in gas line.
    Confirm gas line is clear (insulation, dirt, plastic, excessive pipe sealer, etc.)

  3. Gas pressure improper.
    Confirm proper gas pressure found

  1. Disproportional Air / Propane Mixture

    If new install, may take several attempts to purge and correct air

  2. Protective oil on steel burner ring

    If new install, may take several attempts to burn off residual oil

  3. Dirty fuel

    Confirm the fuel purchased is from reputable dealer

  4. Debris in gas line.
    Confirm gas line is clear (insulation, dirt, plastic, excessive pipe sealer, etc.)

Smell Gas

***Immediately turn off the firepit and fuel source***

  1. Secure all connection points

    Hoses and hardware may not be secure

    Black hose regulator to Fire Regulator

    Fire Regulator to Metal Hose

    Metal Hose to Burner Ring

  2. Debris in Burner Ring
    Confirm Burner Ring is clear (insulation, dirt, plastic, etc.)

  3. Fire Gems blocking

    Fire gems may be blocking openings on Burner Ring, please disperse gems to keep openings clear

  4. Defective hardware

    Issue with hardware that requires new parts

    Please brush all connection points and hardware with soap and water mixture. Turn on the firepit and fuel source on low without lighting. The soap and water mixture will begin to bubble at points in which connection not secure or hole.

If all else fails, please request replacement from dealer in which the firepit was purchased for for a Firepit Kit.
